Icarus

The story of Icarus, who was instructed by his father Daedalus to fly neither too close to nor too far from the sun, feels eerily familiar to women. Say neither too much nor too little.  Wear neither too much nor too little.  Think neither too much nor too little.  Don't fly too close to the sun, lest it melt your wings.  Don't fly too close to the sea or it's dampness will pull you down. Milan Kundera called vertigo " A heady, insuperable longing to fall". What do we call the desire to soar? What happens when we try to fly too high?
